August 22nd, 20188/22/2018 Hello All, It has been a little while since we've updated everyone on our journey, but trust us, we were saving you from reading about a lot of mundane details, and negotiations, and delays, and never ending paperwork, etc. etc. But, after meeting with the general contractor and stopping by the building yesterday, we are happy to report that progress is being made! Teresa, our CEO and front of house manager, hanging out at 311 Barrington Ave in East Dundee We are excited about the construction and wanted to share some of the progress with you guys. Below, we've included some pictures of the work. A lot of work had to be done prior to even pouring the floors. Underground piping for the water and sewer were set in gravel and inspected Once all the plumbing got the "ok," the floors were poured. The picture on the left was taken from the front door, looking back towards the tap room area. The picture on the right is looking towards the front tap room area from the brewery area in the back of the building. Once we have floors, we can start building walls. Lumber delivery. As construction continues, we will keep everyone updated. The number one question we get asked is when we are going to open. Since the estimation of this date has changed about a half dozen times since we first signed on the dotted line, we'd hate to set a date and then let everyone down if we don't make it due to issues out of our control. As we get closer to completion, we will be sure to let everyone know!

Our Kickstarter is Live7/1/2018 Things are moving forward with the building. The construction process has begun, as has the licensing odyssey.
In other exciting news, we have launched a Kickstarter campaign filled with Kickstarter exclusive merchanidise and some exciting opportunities once our doors are opening. Head over to www.kickstarter.com and search "Black & Gray Brewing Co." and check us out! We are looking to partner with local tattoo artists who would like to create black and gray art and have it displayed for sale at the tap room. Sound interesting to you? Read the guidelines below and then get to creating!

Feel free to contact Teresa with questions or concerns. She can be reached at t.kennedy@blackandgraybrewing.com, or via text at 847.840.4717. Welcome to Black & Gray Brewing Co., a nanobrewery slated to open this fall on the square in beautiful downtown East Dundee, IL. We are excited to share this journey with you and hope that you will check back from time to time as we will be keeping everyone abreast of our progress towards opening day here on our website and also on our Facebook page (@blackandgraybrewing). This project started out as a hobby about three years ago, and it is surreal to sit here while our last batch of homebrew is in the mash on this cold May morning. Soon, we will be taking the brew house apart, packing it up, and moving it to the future space of Black & Gray Brewing at 311 Barrington Ave., East Dundee and we will officially go from a couple of homebrewing fools, to a couple of commerical brewing fools. Exciting times, indeed! A lot of behind-the-scenes work has already been completed, but there is a mountain of work ahead of us. We look forward to building a community of people that truly love good beer and good people (and dogs, you can't forget about the dogs). Don't hesitate to drop us a line to say hello. If all goes well, we will be sharing a beer sooner, rather than later. Koda, our Newf, is waiting--not so patiently--for us to open too.AuthorCheck back often for updates on our events and our progress towards opening our commercial nanobrewery. Archives
